Northern Army commander concludes visit to Valley | KNO

Srinagar, March 05 (KNO): On the second day of his two-day visit to Kashmir, the Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, accompanied by the Chinar Corps Commander, Lieutenant General KJS Dhillon visited the forward areas. His visit covered the frontier districts of Kupwara and Baramulla, and reviewed the security situation along the Line of Control. The Army Commander as per a statement issued to KNO was briefed by the commanders on ground as regards the counter infiltration grid and operational preparedness of the formations. He was appreciative of the measures and Standard Operating Procedures instituted by the units and formations to meet the prevailing and future challenges. During his interaction with the troops, Lt Gen Ranbir Singh lauded their professionalism, sharp vigil along the Line of Control and high morale while exhorting them to remain alert and fully prepared for all eventualities.(KNO)
